Black full length gown of rayon taffeta. The gown has 1/2 inch net shoulder straps and a neckline that is straight across. The gown is fitted to the body and flares out slightly from the knees. The base of the dress is net with bands of rayon taffeta running horizontally from neckline to hem with bands of net between. It is worn over a black slip. The dress has an 8 inch opening under the left arm and fastens with 6 snaps. A semi circular net capelet with 2 inch double frill around is worn over the shoulders.
